Its just like how introducing the PERM system sped up labor certification, but increased retrogression several times. Guess we have to learn from that. FBI name checks are already taking 2+ years, you can imagine what will happen if all the retrogressed PDs become current overnight.

At what stage am I determined as EB2 or EB3? Is it at the labor or I-140 stage?
This may be a basic fact, but I am not aware of the fact. Pardon my ignorance.The actual category determine at the stage of I-140 as you ask USCIS to consider the case as EB2 or EB3 but to ask the EB2 or EB3 at I-140 stage the job description as well educational requirements should be filled in labor such a way so you can support the EB2/EB3 at I-140 stage.:eek:

Hey guys,
My MTR was approved almost 3 months ago and my attorney received the MTR approval notice.
The decision was that both mine and my wife's I-485's are reopened.
But its been almost 3 months and online status on USCIS website has not changed yet......
Does anyone noticed the same situtation with their MTR approval and no online status change?

We want to make IV famous at this event and need sales personnel to talk to visitors.
Please sign up on this thread if you would like to volunteer for this task.
We need all the help we can get. 30,000 + attendees expected to attend the event.

the best thing he could do is get married ASAP may be tomorrow and file I 485 for him and his wife together otherwise he will be in very bad situation. If in OCt his PD is current he will get stuck as he can not sponsor wife for a long time. and if there is severe retrogession than he will not be able to bring his wife to US unless hisnon-immigrant visa is still valid( still his wife would be in danger of being out of status)....So act NOW

if you dont have experience letters from past employers, you can attached notarized affidavits from your past colleagues. that affidavit need not be on a letter head, as it is from an individual (as opposed to a company).
Make sure it has details on begin date, end date of your jobs and designations along with job description(should be same as in LC). Also provide the phone number, address, designation of the person who is giving your the affidavit , in the affidavit letter.

Efficiency of NSC is real shame. I heard sometime back that NSC has huge backlog compared to TSC. That is why TSC cases are getting approved in 1-2months and at NSC average time is 5-6 months. I guess they are forcing people to convert to PP.

I am sorry PnjbIndia, I am not at all familiar with cross chargeabilty. Maybe you do have to wait for her FP but I can't be certain. Have you considered doing an INFOPASS appointment? Wish you all the best and hope that you will get good news soon!!!!!

But I have not seen any LUDs on my case yet. One point is that , may be I have to wait till my wife has got her FP cleared? Or can I get my case approved before hers? My FP is cleared....
Do you think they can give me the GC before my wife? Or they both have to come at the sametime... she is my AOS dependent, but i am using her country for cross chargeability.... any thoughts....

I find that fireworks mx is really cool for doing what you are trying to do if you can get your hands on it. Oh yeah and I think you should antialias the text a little bit. If you want honest opinions....I think the image could use a little jazzing up....Try this:
Find a nice big panoramic image like of a beach or something.. Then give it a real big gaussian blur (so that you cannt recoginze what it was)......U should already notice it looks similar to a gradient. 2. The give it a strong motion blur to the left or right (to soften the image) 3. Then do a an adjustment...hue.....and play with the saturation and settings. (You should have a pretty nice gradient looking abstract at this point). 4. Then duplicate the layer and play with that layers blend mode. I find luminosity to be cool but find one to suit your needs. That will make your text and image seem more interesting....right now it looks kinda dead in the water......I find gradients by themselves to be boring this day in age (most of the time). Let me know if you need a more indepth tutorial....this one was kinda weak but....hey

my advice to you is try to do it in person. i did it a few months ago in houston. i know a lot of people are not lucky enough to be close to a consulate. but when you apply in person, and you say that you will pick up your passport in person, then you take most of the problems away involving postal delivery and receipt of the passport.
so even if it may hurt to drive for a few hours, it may be well worth the drive. afterall passport with a visa stamp is probably the most important document you will ever have in your possession while you are on H1-B.
the way it works in houston is - you submit all the paperwork etc. during morning hours. they will tell you to come and pick up your passport after 3-4 weeks. you go there say a couple of days after they told you to come, pick up your passport...go home...effortless.:cool:

i am not sure what it is about the 300d or known by most as the digital rebel that makes it not a good choice. i used and still use the digital rebel. i consider it to be worthy of professional status. it lacks a few capabilities but for studio work i still feel more comfortable with that camera and i must admit even though i have the rebel xt i have not used it near as much as the 300 d.
There are some things that make for example the 10D better than the 300D, but those are few - the one that made me spend the money on a 10D rather than the 300D is the fact that the 10D has the setting for following AF (aka predictive AF), whilst the 300D has a setting for "Let the camera choose if it's following or not" - which probably works fine for most purposes, but not ALL.
The metal frame of the body and faster/longer frame buffer on the 10D was also on the list of "pros", but not a "must have" in my choice.
The sensor is the same in 10D and 300D, and whilst the newer 350/400/20/30 etc have BETTER sensors, the 10D has one that works fine for me.
When it comes to the difference between professional and amateur, there's only ONE thing that REALLY makes a difference: Professionals get paid for what they do, amateurs don't. And just like a carpenter may choose to buy a more expensive circular saw because it lasts longer, cuts a little bit faster or whatever the criteria may be, I also know some that use the method of "buy the $100 model of tool, because it's undoubtedly going to be broken soon anyway, and the $600 one doesn't actually take falling from a 20ft scaffolding any better than the $100 one does". So, likewise, a professional photographer may well chose a less expensive camera because it does the job sufficently.
