what does it mean? If you apply your 485 on July 2nd, within 6 months time (by Jan 2nd) you will get 485 approved?

CIS is bound by law to not accept early AOS applications. It depends on State published visa dates. So if we can work with State dept to have them publish the dates for Visa posts for CP as they do today (Which is faster) and add CIS processing delay to the Dates and publish second set of dates for AOS which always be atleast 2 years or more added to current dates published by State.
This gives chance to people, who missed their chance to file in AOS in 2007 July. They can atleast get benefits of AC21 in this tough economy.

Hey people , i need help. as EB-3 is current , my spouse who is on H4 ,applied for change of status(H-4 to F-1) ,so can i file her papers along wth mine in I-485 or not? change of status is in process.

If you can then retract her COS application and include her in 485. But I am not sure how you would go about donig that. Check with attorney.

Does any one tried accessing USCIS case status online webpage while doing so it replied back to me saying "403 Forbidden" generally for any blocked IP's i emailed USCIS webmaster requesting why it was so as i could see my case status online a day back. Any one in same shoes? I am not worried and i feel there is no reason to get worried as most of security issues are due to false positives. IF any one in the same shoes lemme know your views.

At the time of filing my application I just used one address.
Somehow I didn't know you could use Permanent address and current address.
You have used "one" address in I485, the same should be reflected in G325 - Consult with your lawyer.
I'm not sure but I guess my lawyer didn't file G325 form.
Is filing G325 form something mandatory ?
G325 is mandatory, if you or the lawyer has not sent to USCIS, you will get an RFE

I want to change the address now but want to give a new address (which is not the address I moved to .)

140 Approved from TSC last year.
EAD is self-filed later on Aug 14th @ NSC with USPS tracking# proof.
But EAD check cashed today from NSC (LIN#)
It's crazy. What I can say more.
Hi all : After talking to an IO, I discovered that using my name and DOB, they could only trace my application till I-140. They couldn't see any applications for I485/EAD/AP for myself and my husband. Huh.. weird.. What should I infer from this so-called drama. What should be my next move? Pls. advise.
My attorney gave me a FEDEx tracking number, which states it was recd. by j. Barrett (NSC) on 2nd July. My application was complete with all different checks and all original medicals for me and my husband.
This is ridiculous. Does it mean, NSC has lost my application (s)? I see LUD as of 8-5-07 on my approved I-140 number as per USCIS website? What does that mean? Gee. This is crazy.
Thanks if anyone can help me figure out this mystery.

I moved from Company A to company B towards the end of my H1 6 th year with only a month and half left in my H1. Company B applied for my 140 and 140 was approved just on the day of my 6 year completion. H1 transfer was filed in parallel in normal processing. H1 transfer has got an RFE now a day after 140 was approved.
1. Will there be any problems in getting the H1 transfer based on the 140 approval with the new company? Please note that I do not have any days left in my original H1.
2. What will the duration of H1 if the transfer gets approved?
3. I am continuing to work based on 140 approval and pending h1 transfer. Please advice is it is ok.

2. ..................Normally they ask for recent paystubs, but if it is within last 1-2 months it sails through well, w/o triggering RFE. Best option is to do H1b Tranfer under premium processing mode, that way in just few weeks you would know where you stand.
3. ........................ either F1 or H4 or Visitor visa.

Gurus Need Help.
We filed for I-485 on july 3rd..and got receipt numbers after calling USCIS for 3 of us.Yesterday we got receipt notices for me and my wife..but for my son we haven't received the notice when i checked the status online..it says case is rejected and here is the text message from the online..,
"On October 10, 2007, we determined that this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was not properly filed, rejected it, and mailed it back to you with all supporting materials along with a notice describing the reasons the case was rejected. The notice will also describe what will need to be done to properly submit the case"
Is any one with the similar situation? Please help what could be the reason??
and how long it will take to receive the rejected notice?

If they already cashed your check for all the applications, you can call USCIS and ask what happened.
Can't you see the receipt # of her I-485 and your I-765 at the back of the check?

I used last time and I show offcer only one and he return it to me.
LAst year I got 4 AP documents. This year I got only 2 PA docs.
